Hi! I'm Nick.
I'm currently a Grants Fellow at Macroscopic.
I'm on leave from studying CS and philosophy at Oxford, where I helped spin off the Oxford AI Safety Initiative and ran [orchard] with some wonderful people.
Earlier this year, I worked on building a (forthcoming) playbook for AGI governance with the AI Futures Project under the Pivotal Fellowship, and then researched various topics in AI strategy and US policy as a Visiting Fellow at Constellation.
My interests include algorave; functional programming; Metabolist architecture; hiking; and starting magazines.
